The Art of Navigation

February 24, 2016

Not long ago tall ships ruled the seas and the adjacent waters.  Navigation was based on Bowditch including other publications, charts. Sextants were routinely used to obtain position, and soundings were measured by simple devices in fathoms. In today's maritime world things are drastically different and even far more complex. Technology has taken over and the science, the art of navigation, has changed forever. All sounds great except you still have to show the US Coast Guard by examination your ability to do the conventional methods.

Preparing for that challenge is quite an undertaking. Content can be viewed anywhere, it's the presentor of the knowledge that makes all the difference. That is where I, and a cadre of professional instructors, examiners, and assessors can help you reach your license prep goals.

Ask yourself this one question... Are you ready to Pass The Exam !
