The Art of Navigation

Not long ago tall ships ruled the seas and the adjacent waters. Navigation was based on Bowditch including other publications, charts. Sextants were routinely used to obtain position, and soundings were measured by simple devices in fathoms. In today's maritime world things are drastically different and even far more complex. Technology has taken over and the science, the art of navigation, has changed forever.
